Kristin was born in Saskatchewan but has also lived in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. She also spent some time in Quebec before returning to Saskatchewan for her university training. Kristin graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1992. She then articled and worked for two years with Baker Newby, a law firm in the Fraser Valley. In 1995 she relocated to Nanaimo and joined Loy & Rongve. In 2007, Kristin established her own law firm. Kristin has developed her practice in the areas of family and divorce law, debt collection, corporate litigation and other court based work. Kristin would be pleased to discuss any legal problems with you. She offers a free initial consultation to anyone who has questions about the legal process. Since arriving in Nanaimo, Kristin has been an active volunteer within the legal community and the community of Nanaimo. She was an executive officer and board member of Haven: A Society for Women and Children for a number of years and has also been a member of the Rotary Club of Nanaimo Daybreak since 2001. She was the president of the club during the 2006-2007 Rotary year. Kristin was also the chair of the Canadian Bar Association Nanaimo Family Law section for several years and presently sits on the Judicial Advisory Committee, Court Services Committee and Membership Committee for the Canadian Bar Association. |
