Kristin grew up in Yellowknife and Saskatchewan before attending the university of Saskatchewan for her undergraduate degree and law school. Following graduation, she moved out to British Columbia to article in Chilliwack and Abbotsford. In 1995, Kristin moved to Nanaimo and has been in practice here ever since.
The main focus of Kristin’s work is in the area of family law but she also handles other civil court cases. She finds great satisfaction in helping people come to the best resolution possible in the most cost effective manner.
Kristin is active as a volunteer within the legal community. She is presently a member of the Board of Directors for British Columbia’s Continuing Legal Education Society and is also working at a local level for the Canadian Bar Association.
At a community level, Kristin is a past board member for Haven: A Society for Women & Children and has been a member of Nanaimo Daybreak Rotary since 2001. She had had a variety of positions through that club, including club president, and has helped with many community projects. She was the club’s Rotarian of the Year in 2011.
